Success Story – Helena R.

Helena R. was living independently at home when she had a stroke. She was hospitalized for a short period of time and then came to Clearwater Nursing and Rehab with a goal to live independently at an assisted living.

Our nursing and therapy team worked with Helena to develop a plan to help support her goal. She worked with our therapy team 5 times a week for 6 weeks. They worked on balance, strength levels, walking, and expressive language to make her needs known. The nursing team worked with her on specific goals of walking and expressive language.

After 6 weeks, Helena reached her goals and was able to discharge to our assisted living community, Clearwater Village.
