Letter from the Administrator
It sure is going to be nice to see Spring with all of the growing plants and green foliage. As the season gets started we are looking forward to spending more time outside. We are putting plans together for outdoor projects, activities and cookouts. No doubt it is going to be joyous to spend time together in the sun and warmth.
As we celebrate in the beginning of Spring, it is important to remember why we are here; why we do what we do. Those of us who work in long term care are entrusted by families and residents. We are entrusted with providing care and comfort and meeting personal needs at a time in life when our residents are unable to do so for themselves. It is a job, sometimes difficult and sometimes draining, but to the many devoted staff members of Clearwater Nursing and Rehabilitation, it is so much more. The care staff is allowed to provide, the needs they are able to meet, is a gift given. Not to the person receiving the care, but the person providing it. It’s a blessing to be able to do what we do, most importantly what our direct caregivers do, working hand in hand with residents sharing their joy and sorrow. To share in the happiness of accomplishments both big and small. To share in laughter. And even to share with families and residents during sadness and even death. For us to be allowed to share all of these things with our residents and families is truly a gift. Thank you, families and residents, for allowing us to be a part of your life.
