Letter from the Administrator
January…February…now March! 2018 is picking up speed. Did you know that some of the heaviest snow storms in this area have happened in March? The only good thing about March snows is they don’t last as long when the weather turns around and warms up.
I think we are all looking forward to spending more time outside (once this big snow I’m predicting has melted!) One of the things we’ve been discussing is building some outdoor raised garden beds. The thought of having fresh tomatoes and whatever else we can grow sounds delicious. And there is something therapeutic about digging in the dirt, nurturing a plant, and then admiring, and enjoying the fruits of our labor.
Highlights for this month include March Madness and the final four game on the 30th. It’s going to be fun snacking and rooting for our favorite teams. And if our favorite team loses, well at least we had the excitement of cheering them on, and eating snacks! We are having a St. Patrick’s day party with a variety of green foods and lots of green clothing. Music groups are scheduled throughout the month, and shopping outings and a lunch bunch trip are also on the calendar. In between times we’ll be playing bingo, different table games, and hooking up the Wii.
I look forward to spending this time with all of our residents and meeting new friends along the way. If any of you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please stop by or call. Have a merry March!
