Letter from the Administrator
Residents, families, and friends,
Please join me in welcoming Pam Gray, RN to the Assistant Director of Nursing role (ADON). She has 30 plus years of experience as a nurse and brings with her a vast knowledge of patient care and management experience. We are very excited to have her on our team and look forward to all of the things she will teach us to improve care for the residents and ensure we continue to uphold our great level of care.
Please join me in also welcoming Alicia Magee, LPN to her new role of Staffing Coordinator. Alicia has been a charge nurse with us and is very excited to help with scheduling of staff and in-services for continued training and development for our nursing staff. We look forward to helping her with this transition and having her continued support for our community!
Some projects that we are working on currently include better fall management, meeting residents’ preferences on bathing times and frequencies as well as their waking and sleeping times. These changes will help ensure everyone is continuing to receive quality care based off of their own unique needs and preferences.
We are continuing to work ensuring we have staff in all the key roles throughout the day to ensure all of the residents’ needs are being met. We have changed some of our hiring practices and are now able to hire people that will make a positive impact on our team. This takes time to find the right people but, rest assured that with a strong leadership team in place hiring and retention have started to increase as well. We will all continue to ensure that all resident receive great care at all times from our staff.
