Letter from the Administrator

Residents, families, and friends,

Please join me in welcoming Jodee Combs, LPN to her new role as wound nurse. She has over 20 years’ experience in wound care and wound care management and will excel at ensuring all wounds are treated, healed and continue to prevent further ones from occurring. We are very excited to have her as part of the leadership team!

We also need to welcome Kelly Johnson, RN to her new role as Interim Director of Nursing. Kelly has over 20 years’ experience as a nurse as prior experience as a Director of Nursing. She is very knowledgeable in nursing care for the residents, medication management, quality programs, and managing staff. I look forward to working with her to grow and develop the nursing department at Clearwater.

Some projects that we are working on currently include better fall management, meeting residents’ preferences on bathing times and frequencies as well as their waking and sleeping times. These changes will help ensure everyone is continuing to receive quality care based off of their own unique needs and preferences.
