Letter from the Administrator

Dear Residents and Families,

I would like to introduce Julie Davis as our new Director of Nursing for Clearwater Nursing and Rehab. Julie has been a nurse for 24 years and brings with her experience in management and leadership roles as well as an understanding of nursing practices. She is compassionate and cares for all of our residents and staff. Please stop by and meet her when you are in the area! I look forward to have her as a critical piece of our team.

In the upcoming months we will be working hard to improve the overall quality of care we are providing. Although, we are able to provide high quality care to our residents we want to ensure we continue to improve. Some areas we will be focusing on, as a leadership team, are infection control processes, overall root cause analysis approach to determine a problem and correcting it with the appropriate solution, and a few process improvement plans lead by a committee.

It is still flu season and I would like to remind everyone that we need to continue to wash hands. There are flu prevention stations at the front doors of our buildings. If you need to visit someone in our community and you have a cough, or any sinus issues please wear one of the mask that we have provided. It is best to not visit if you are sick or not feeling well. Please make sure to use the hand sanitize as well. Thank you for assisting us with keeping our community healthy!

Recently, we switched our TV service at the Nursing Home to SeniorTV. We are working hard on getting the available channels to closely match what we have had previously. If you notice that we do not have a channel that was offered previously, and you would like to see it again, please let me know so I can work on making it available again. SeniorTV is provided through DirecTV programming and specializes in providing programming for senior communities. The nursing home is up and running on this and the Village will be soon. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
